The Westlands, famous throughout all of Drisden and indeed greater Scarlen, are said to be one of the most thoroughly dangerous places in the known world. Ravenous monsters, untamed forests, expanses of tundra, desert, and cavernous holes in gigantic mountain ranges can all be found here. Many an adventurer has died there, seeking glory amidst its dangerous climes. The duke Taynor Hawkins currently has a bounty out on any and all fey (Fell or Fen creatures caught beyond the official border of his duchy – much to the chagrin of the Verdant Prince, who is on the edge of declaring war with the duchy yet again, a move which would cause untold damage to both sides.
However, the bounty still stands as of now, and has been attracting many higher level adventurers keen to try their luck for some of the gold from the duchy’s coffers, causing an outbreak of supposed Rogue Fell who are preying on the adventurers as they come home, depleted and tired from the Westlands, killing them in revenge for their brazen acts.
The Westlands begins on the western border of Taynor, starting approximately 4 miles past Farengale.
